Rabbits & Guinea Pigs
Prices listed are per day or part thereof. Full payment is required on the day of arrival by cash, PayPal, or bank transfer.
Price includes hay, ready grass, fresh fruit and veg, dried food Burgess Excel Adult and Science Selective. If you do not use either of these feeds, however, we suggest you bring your own dried food for consistency of diet.
Supervised exercise will be provided in safe runs outside in good weather daily.
For stays in excess of two weeks, or where you are looking for accommodation for more than three bunnies or three guinea pigs, please contact us to obtain a price.

Guinea Pigs
- One guinea pig £7.00
- Two guinea pigs sharing £8.00
- Three guinea pigs sharing £9.00
Mice, Gerbils & Hamsters
Mice, gerbils and hamsters are £3.50 per day each.
We ask that they come in their own cage and please bring their food with them.
Accommodation
Each rabbit and guinea pig house is located in our orchard with a safe, sheltered, anti-tunnel skirted run to play in.
We use Omlet Classic Hutches attached to a minimum of two metres of run. We have found housing rabbits and guinea pigs in these hutches enables us to regularly jet wash and disinfect each house such that they are clean whilst providing a safe home for your favourite furry little friends.
Each run will be supplemented with enrichments to add to the enjoyment of your pet's stay; and a clean, dry house for bedding down in at night. In addition, supervised exercise will be provided in safe runs outside in good weather daily.

Please note that during peak school holiday times our accommodation does fill up very quickly, so early booking is advisable!

Terms and conditions
All boarders must be in good health upon arrival to Hens and Furry Friends. We cannot accept pets that show symptoms of ill health or respiratory infection.
All rabbits must be wormed and fully vaccinated against Viral Haemorrhagic Disease (VHD1) and Myxomatosis (combined yearly vaccine) and Rabbit Haemorrhagic Disease (RHD2), a separate vaccine, at least 3 weeks prior to their visit.
The RHD2 is required every 6 months - 1 year pending on low or high-risk areas. Certificates will need to be viewed on arrival, we are unable to accept any rabbit boarders without a vaccination certificate.
Photographs of your pet, used solely by Hens and Furry Friends, may be published on our website / social media posts to advertise our services, and provide updates. No names or identification of the owner of the pet will be published. If you object to photographs of your pet being used for these purposes, please advise.
Although we are experienced pet carers, we cannot be held responsible for any loss, death, or injury to your pet whilst in our care. We shall take advice from the local veterinary practice if sickness or illness occurs and if treatment is required. Any veterinary charges will be your responsibility unless you instruct us otherwise.

When booking, please state a preferred time for drop-off and collection of your pets from our opening times below:

Drop-off and Collection days are Mondays 9am - 11am and 2pm - 4pm and Tuesday to Friday 9am - 11am and 4pm - 6pm only. If you believe you will struggle with these times, please let us know and we can try to accommodate.
Cancellation policy
Cancellation charges are applied at the discretion of Hens and Furry Friends.
If you do have to cancel, we will endeavor to re-let the accommodation you booked. If successful, we will reduce cancellation charges to a minimum.
- Cancellation with less than 30 days’ notice of arrival date – 25% charge of full fee
- Cancellation with less than 1 weeks’ notice of arrival date – 50% charge of full fee
- Cancellation with less than 48 hours’ notice of arrival date – full fee is charged
